The third round of grant applications for social equity cannabis businesses will open next Monday on July 31, 2023. Applicants are encouraged to review the rubric, qualifying criteria, and required documentation prior to the opening date of the application. The application will close exactly one month later on August 31, 2023.
In addition to the Foundational and Growth paths offered in previous rounds, this round offers a new application path called Foundational Path. To qualify for a Foundational Plus grant, applicants must be have previously received a Foundational grant award, must be operational and meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
- Have added at least 1 FTE;
- Have an annual or annualized revenue of at least $250,000; or
- The grant project proposal is written so that the funds are utilized to assist in hiring of staff (Note: This can include proposals that expand the business’s capacity to hire an additional employee)
